Its location is located about 10 km east of the city of Kaligyan. Currently present in the area of ​​11 acres at Sitalla-Mallikpur in Betuli Mouza of Maliate Union, this banyan is known as the largest tree in Asia.

Yes, the location of a banyan is in Sitalla Mallikpur in Kaliganj upazila of Jhenaidah. Kaliganj upazila city of Jhenidah touched the road of Chikon pitch, Mallikpur. If moving forward 12 kilometers, the mountain of green will be seen in the eyes of the green mountains. That does not end in the green. It is Battagacha of Sitala Mallikpur. The existence of the 8th Baituli Mouza of Maliate Union is now present in 11 acres of land. Its height is approximately 250 to 300 feet. At present, Baggachi has taken 52 botgai. In the BBC survey of 1984, Asia's largest known and famous name of the banyan tree has many complications and legends. It is known to anyone about Swittala's Baggachha, somebody near Sittala Mallikpur's Botgacha and Bethuli Botgacha to anyone. The BBC's survey has recognized it as Asia's biggest park. Since 2009, the social forest department has been managing this plant in Jessore. Locals could not provide any specific information about the origin of the tree, but it is thought to be roughly two hundred to three hundred years old. Even if no specific information is given to anyone who has planted the tree, it is also known that there was a settlement of the Kumars here. Today's banyan tree is born in a well of the Kumar family. In the mouth of the locals, the tree is said to have been cut, when a tree of Kudratullah was cut down and fell ill. The center of the banyan tree was established in the middle of 1360 in the market of Bethuli or Mallikpur. The first shopkeeper of this market was Belayet Ali of Mallikpur village, Swarjeet Kumar Saha of village Bethuli, Mamtaj Doctor, Munsak Biswas of Mallikpur and Hamidul of Mathura village. Battalaya has been made a permanent pyre for the Kaliparas. It is built with the financial help of the people of Chaprail village and the beneficiary of the Hazari Lal Adhikari. Locals said that due to inattention, lack of maintenance, lack of maintenance and the extinction of the traditional tree, the existence of this banyan tree is going to be destroyed today. He used to care for this until he lived till Belayet Miah of Mallikpur village. He loved his child like this bot tree. For this reason, he gave the first shop to this banyan and established the market. Locals further said that until 1982, the largest botch that was known in the continent of Asia was a tree in the Botanical Gardens of Calcutta. Later BBC reports a report titled- "Batgachi of Mallikpuri is the largest in Asia continent. In 1998, a flower garden was built in collaboration with Suchen Chandra Roy, the then executive officer of Kaliganj upazila. He also arranged for wall construction around the tree. Visitors came to visit from many places considering the historic aspects of the greater botanicals of the Asian continent. Considering the importance of this, a rest house was built in the year 1990 with a cost of around 10 lakhs beside the Battagacha. Abdur Razzak, an elderly person of the village of Mallikpur, told that the people of this village can not say how old this bot is. He has heard from the people of Murshidabad for more than 300 years. The place where the original banyan started in the Kumar community was around the place. There was a pavement in the place of the sen. A bird may bring a bunch of seeds on the well. She sows from seed. The place was woody. Gradually, the tree grew up in a vast place and planted it. Increasingly, it took about two acres of land at one time. The acquisition is the largest garden in Asia. People of Hindu community started worshiping at the beginning of the tree. Due to the increase of population, there is no solitude in the banyan tree. The growth of the tree depends on the prospectus or the boar.

Considering the importance Jhenaidah District Council built a rest house beside the BOT tree in 1990.
