Since 2009, the social forest department has been managing this plant in Jessore. Locals could not provide any specific information about the origin of the tree, but it is thought to be roughly two hundred to three hundred years old. Today's banyan tree is born in a well of the Kumar family. In the mouth of the locals, the tree is said to have been cut, when a tree of Kudratullah was cut down and fell ill. In 1998, a flower garden was built in collaboration with Suchen Chandra Roy, the then executive officer of Kaliganj upazila. He also arranged for wall construction around the tree. Visitors came to visit from many places considering the historic aspects of the greater botanicals of the Asian continent. Considering the importance of this, a rest house was built in the year 1990 with a cost of around 10 lakhs beside the Battagacha. Abdur Razzak, an elderly person of the village of Mallikpur, told that the people of this village can not say how old this bot is. He has heard from the people of Murshidabad for more than 300 years. The place where the original banyan started in the Kumar community was around the place. There was a pavement in the place of the sen. A bird may bring a bunch of seeds on the well. She sows from seed. The place was woody. Gradually, the tree grew up in a vast place and planted it. Increasingly, it took about two acres of land at one time. The acquisition is the largest garden in Asia. People of Hindu community started worshiping at the beginning of the tree. Due to the increase of population, there is no solitude in the banyan tree. The growth of the tree depends on the prospectus or the boar.
